A modern master when it comes to blending traditional and contemporary styles, Craig Van Den Brulle is not just a designer, but the owner of a gallery bearing his name in New York City which showcases some of the biggest names in twentieth and tweny first century design. Born to a Belgian father and Italian mother, Van Den Brulle draws extensively from his frequent trips around the globe to create evocative, pieces of lighting and furniture which linger on the border of mathematical art. Each of Van Den Brulle’s designs is created with the intent that they not only stand out as sculpture but integrate into the design aesthetic of today’s contemporary interiors as well as more traditional spaces. By integrating traditional forms and inspiration into contemporary design, his creations fit into any space.
Craig notes that he “finds inspiration in a great many things, furniture (of all periods), sculpture, art, fashion and even nature,” and it’s not surprising to see myriad sources of inspiration within each object.
