          2003: Lorfords starts trading. With his sights set on creating a new breed of antiques shop and modernising the way antiques are sold, Toby Lorford starts his first antiques shop in Tetbury.

2005: Move into Lorfords' Tetbury HQ. The Lorfords experience captures the hearts and heads of buyers and sellers. As the demand grows, the team decide it’s time to expand into new premises!

2013: First Antiques Hangar opens
Toby’s desire to inspire buyers and give sellers a unique way to showcase their treasures is launched: Lorfords' first-ever large-scale showroom opens inside a Gloucestershire aircraft hanger.

2015: Lorfords Contemporary born
Long-standing customer, Marco Pierre White, approaches Lorfords for help furnishing a historic renovation of a hotel in Singapore. Marco’s passion for the classically upholstered furniture of Howard and Sons inspires Toby to create his own bespoke copies. This new Lorfords collection, Lorfords Contemporary, launches. 

2015: Second Antiques Hangar opens
More space is needed as the Lorfords’ experience charms the market and demand grows. The team make the decision to launch a second antiques’ showroom next door to their first, just outside Tetbury.

2019: New website
The beauty of the Lorfords’ antiques experience deserves a website to match, so a new digital home for our products is created and launched.
